The west coast branch of the ACS has over 70 local members, almost 200 eNews subscribers and a number of international members in Asia, Europe and the Americas. The Western Australian film industry is highly regarded throughout country and around the world and is known for producing hard working, talented and creative Cinematographers that stand among the best in the world.

The WA committee is a fresh, vibrant and enthusiastic team that span a wide range of levels from aspiring cinematographers to seasoned professionals and accredited members who’ve given years of commitment to the society. The committee aim to represent Western Australian Cinematographers in the highest regard and attend regular industry meetings with Screenwest and film industry associates to build and make the local film community stronger.

The committee meet every month throughout the year to organise events for members including our new Drop-In Sessions, a more casual information/networking night we hold with a new theme each month, Screenings that include Q&As with ACS Accredited Cinematographers, Tech & Gear Demonstrations and Workshops from the leading brands, Focused Presentations of Services and Facilities for Cinematographers as well as and Event Hosting and Support.

Our Annual Awards For Excellence in Cinematography is held in Perth every 4 years and we share this with our good friends at the South Australian Branch. The SA Branch show amazing support to the WA community and host the State Awards every other year. We value the partnership and enjoy the competition!
