For members who have contributed by way of technical and/or innovative practical ideas that have helped the industry to advance.
Enables one deserving ACS member to attend Camerimage in Torun, Poland, along with introductions at the Camerimage Festival.
The ACS Hall of Fame was created to recognize individuals who have made a significant or extraordinary contribution to the craft of cinematography, the Society and the film & television industry. Those who have made exceptional contributions that have furthered the growth, the reputation and character of the ACS in categories such as administration; teaching and most importantly have had a ‘profound positive influence’ on the Society or the industry.
The Australian Cinematographer of the Year receives the Milli Award and it is presented at the annual National ACS Awards. All National Gold Tripod winners progress through to be in the running for the Milli Award. This is the highest award an Australian Cinematographer can receive from the Society.
