What is the role of a Branch Delegate?
The elected Delegates (11 in all) join the Branch Presidents in making up the Board. That means a total of 19 ACS Board members.
What is the role of the Board?
The Board is responsible for managing the Society as a whole.
What are the expectations on a Board member?
A Board member will be expected to –
- Become a registered company director.
- Become registered with ASIC as an ACS Board member.
- Attend a minimum of FOUR scheduled Board meeting throughout the year, 3 online and one in person, plus the AGM.
- Potentially be an office bearer for the Society – roles may include:
National Secretary or Assistant Secretary
National Treasurer or Assistant Treasurer
One of two National Vice Presidents
National President - Chair, or be a senior member of one or more National sub-Committees. e.g. – Awards, Accreditation, Policy, AC Magazine, Website, Election, AI committee, HQ committee, Social Media etc, and participate in any separate meetings of those sub-committees.
- Read all Board correspondence and, with their Branch President, seek or provide feedback to the Board of their Branch’s stand on various issues.
- Consider all agenda items before the Board and offer opinion and insights.
- Vote as required on any resolutions before the ACS Board.
