From Glyn Berry:
It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of Allan Hall, who passed away at the age of 91.
Allan was a much-loved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He had been married to his wife for 69 years, celebrating their wedding anniversary on 7 September 2026.
Allan was a huge character who loved life and will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. During his career, he was an ABC News and A Current Affair cinematographer, and winner of the Golden Tripod for a news story.
He was also a very passionate cinema owner and a valued part of the South Australian cinema community.
Our thoughts are with Allan’s family, including his sons Chris and David and their families, and all those who knew and loved him.
As his family so beautifully said:
“Too many stories to tell of his life. He is missed dearly. May he RIP.”
Details of a wake will be shared by the family for those who would like to attend and raise a glass in Allan’s memory.
Vale Allan Hall. You will be sadly missed.
