ARRI Australia is part of the ARRI Group, the world's largest manufacturer and distributor of motion picture camera, digital intermediate and lighting equipment. As many ACS members will know ARRI Australia is a patron of the society and has been a great supporter for many years.
The team at ARRI Australia consists of Stefan Sedlmeier (Managing Director), Rey Adia (Senior Service Engineer), Melaney Yeates (Service Engineer), Seamus Maher (Accountant) and their trainee (ARRI Australia is running an internship program as well, they are just appointing their 16th trainee). This engineering team takes care of sales, service and support of ARRI cameras, lenses and accessories, lighting equipment and digital intermediate systems for clients in Australia and New Zealand.
ARRI Australia also provides spare parts, demo and test equipment on site as well as a dedicated lens test room and lens calibration equipment from Zeiss and Crosziel. Currently ARRI Australia has around 400 clients using its products with more than 120 ARRI ALEXA digital cameras systems (there are six different models of the ALEXA camera now: EV and EV Plus in 16:9, XT, XT Plus, XT M and XT Studio in 4:3) shooting in Australia and New Zealand alone.
Throughout its 90-year history, ARRI has been associated with constant innovation and revolutionary technologies. From the legendary ARRIFLEX 35 - the first motion picture camera with a reflex mirror shutter, to the ALEXA Studio - the most advanced film style digital camera in the world, ARRI has set the standard that others follow.
ARRI's innovative products have been recognised with a total of 14 scientific and engineering Awards from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. In recent years, the focus has been on improving analogue technologies, advancing new digital technologies and, most crucially, on developing ways of combining the two in order to maximise image quality.
ARRI Australia's commitment to the local film and TV industries along with their emphasis on providing high quality products and long term customer satisfaction is not only recognised by the ACS but always welcomed.
