Our members are the backbone and the spirit of our Society, whether you are a Student member or one of our Feature Film cinematographers, all Members become a part of a truly people-based society, that are reliant on each other.

When you become a member of the Australian Cinematographers Society (ACS) you become part of a large, extended family.

Our members are the backbone and the spirit of our Society, whether you are a Student member or one of our Feature Film cinematographers, all Members become a part of a truly people-based society, that are reliant on each other.

We believe in the fostering of knowledge and mutual cooperation between all our members.

Membership of the ACS is divided into several categories.

Accredited, Full (formerly Cinematographer), Active (formerly Camera Crew), Honorary, Retired and Life members are classed as corporate members with voting rights.

CineKids, Student and Associate members are classed as non-corporate members and do not have voting rights.

You can join the Society as a Full, Active, Student, CineKid or Associate Member, by simply applying to the Branch in your State or Territory.
