ACS Vic Member Rob Grant has this position available to suit a Shooter/Editor skill set.
Video Producer – Grade 1
Full time – Fixed Term 1.00EFT
The Creative Studio
The Royal Children’s Hospital, Parkville
The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) is a leading provider of specialist health services for children and adolescents in Victoria. It has an international reputation as a centre of clinical excellence and is a state-wide teaching, training and research hospital providing tertiary, secondary and primary infant, child and adolescent health services
The RCH Creative Studio is a media services hub that produces award winning clinical photography, design, medical illustration, video production and web/digital services to The Royal Children’s Hospital and the wider health sector. Our products help to inform, educate, motivate and empower health consumers, health practitioners and the community.
The video team produces educational and promotional videos and podcasts for use in teaching, consumer engagement, internal communications, and on social media. We are also responsible for the production of in-house television programs like the Be Positive show. And we provide audio-visual and videoconferencing support to the staff of the RCH. Because we specialise in health, the subject matter includes medical and surgical procedures.
We’re looking for a video producer to provide technical and creative support to the busy production workload. Regularly you will collaborate with other video producers, communications and health professionals, to deliver effective and engaging content. Frequently you will be the second set of hands on complex productions, possessing the technical and teamwork skills to produce high-quality work with efficiency. Occasionally you may lead video productions, guiding concepts from briefing to delivery. And you’ll always be on top of the status of jobs, ensuring that client communications, deadlines and budgets are on track.
Because we reach a diverse range of audiences, the successful candidate will be familiar with conventions of factual television, and be switched on to digital trends in media presentation and delivery.
Interested applicants should submit a covering letter and resume that demonstrate experience and skills in line with the position description, along with any examples of your work (online only, and describing your role(s) in the production).
Appointment is subject to a satisfactory police check and Working with Children Check.
