ACS NSW Focus 12th Sept 2011

September Drop In Evening

Our next Drop In will be on September 15th from 6pm at:
ACS National HQ
Level 2, 26 Ridge St
North Sydney 2060.

Paul Nichola Presents

At the September Drop In Paul Nichola will present his work on "Cane Toads: The Conquest 3D", along with some behind the scenes on a recent green screen shoot for "Happy Feet 2" using the 3D camera system he developed for "Mad Max: Fury Road". Drop In and hear Paul's take on 3D camera systems.

Remember, our regular 3rd Thursday Drop In evenings are open to all members. Take advantage of these evenings - see some of the latest technology or hear your fellow members discuss their projects or just socialize for a few hours. We'd especially like to encourage our newer members to come along and see what ACS has to offer. See you on the 18th.

Peter James ACS ASC "Man In The Landscape"

An exhibition of Peter's photographic works will be held at ACS HQ from 16-26th September. The official opening will be from 7-10pm Friday 16th and all members are welcome. Don't miss this opportunity to see some fabulous work from one of our finest and most well respected cinematographers.

What Have You Been Up To

The ACS NSW What Have You Been Up To page so far has been less than successful. Go along and have a look - you'll see the info there is a little out of date. So if you've been involved in an interesting project recently send us some info and a couple of snaps and we'll include it on the page. I'm sure most of us are interested to see what fellow members have been doing.

48 Hr Film Project

The 48HFP Melbourne is taking place over the weekend of 14 - 16 October 2011 and maybe of interest to our members.

The 48 Hour Film Project (48HFP) is a wild and sleepless weekend in which film making teams make a short film in just 48 hours. That means - writing, shooting, editing & scoring it!
